NYC Sweet Spot Obsession {Milk Bar}

{“Crack Pie” and “Cereal Milk” is what Milk Bar is best known for, both are equally amazing! A perfect slice of pie paired with a beautiful latte is one of my all-time favorite combos.}

{The Cake Truffles are perfectly sized bites of deliciously moist Cake – complete with the Sprinkles.}

{The Cookies are soft & chewy inside with a nice crunch on the outside. The “Compost Cookie” is absolute insanity! It boasts a sweet & salty array of things, including pretzels, potato chips, oats, butterscotch, chocolate chips and more – absolutely delish, trust me!}

Hello Lovelies! Sorry for the delayed posting today – I literally JUST got back into town from a week-long LA/NYC adventure. Traveling is so much fun…especially when I get to eat & shop at interesting places along the way. Which leads me to today’s Obsession: NYC’s Momofuku Milk Bar. I am sure many of you already know & love this place. For the rest of you, let me tell you, their desserts and treats are addictingly delicious!! Being a Pastry Chef myself, I tend to judge desserts rather critically – but Milk Bar always blows my mind. Christina Tosi – Milk Bar’s Pastry Chef, truly has a uniquely innovative approach to beloved All-American comfort desserts. As you can see in the photos, the baked goods are super inventive while staying grounded and familiar. And as far as their famed “Cereal Milk” is concerned – I wish I could have it for Breakfast every day. Imagine the sweetly flavored milk that’s left over on the bottom of your cereal bowl after you’ve eaten all of the solid bits. THAT’S exactly what Cereal Milk is all about! Ah-mazingness in a bottle! Milk Bar now has a cookbook with all of their awesome recipes (find the book here), and they also ship their goodies nationwide. So, if you can’t make it to NYC, why not try one of their recipes at home or just have them ship some sweet goodies to your house?!
