Oh the Dog Days of Summer….how I wish they were still here! This outfit was a perfect Summer-to-Fall transition with the beautiful Fall-inspired print on the blouse. Now that the weather is much cooler, I’ll rock this skirt with tights and throw a cute cardigan over the blouse. Oh, and what do you think about the yellow heels? They’re my first pair of yellow shoes (I usually don’t gravitate toward yellow hues)…and they’re insanely comfortable.

PS: The adorable pup was on a walk with a random passerby – I asked to borrow her for a few photos!

{Dress – Joie, Belt – Anthropologie (old, but THIS one would look great as well), Wedges – Juicy Couture (old), Bag – Proenza Schouler, Sunglasses – Oliver Peoples, Bracelets – Cartier, Winifred Grace, Jennifer Fisher (old).}

Yes, I’m German. Yes, I love fresh Mountain Air. But I hope I don’t dissappoint you when I say that you’ll probably never see me skip through an Alpine Mountain Scene wearing traditional German garb with braids in my hair.

This outfit/braid combo is as close to “The Sound of Music” as I’ll likely ever get. Let’s say it’s my Summer-in-the-city version. This floral maxi dress is comfortable and easy to wear, and the rich color palette will easily transition into Fall – major bonus, right?!

Home & Style {Gilded Teal}

{Wallpaper – Urban Outfitters. Tote – Proenza Schouler.}

Yes….as usual I’ve been obsessing over anything that involves the color Teal and combines it with Metallics. I can’t help it, it’s a fatal attraction!!! I mean, how gorgeous is this wallpaper??! I could easily see it as an accent wall in a bathroom…or even as a ceiling treatment in a sunroom. And don’t even get me started on this tote bag. WOW – such a stunner. It’s big enough to easily hold all of the every-day essentials (and then some), but it’s structured enough t0 keep it’s shape and not look sloppy. This bag is a dream, and the color would add an amazing pop to any outfit!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend….and here’s to dreaming that I wake up tomorrow to a perfectly wallpapered powder room and this beautiful bag next to my bed!

Happy Monday and Happy President’s Day, Lovelies!! I hope the long weekend has left you relaxed & refreshed. It’s another gloriously mild and sunny day here in Chicago….so I’m off to some dog park fun in the sun! I leave you with a glimpse into my weekend – I had fun dressing up some of my favorite Zara pieces and my first official attempt at moulding my hair into a semi-perfect bun on top of my head didn’t turn out half bad, right!?
