If you took only 5 extra minutes every day during your beauty routine, what would change? If you’re super low maintenance & have perfectly dewy & young skin, maybe your answer is nothing (you lucky b#*ch!!)
For the rest of us, 5 extra minutes spent on our skincare or makeup could do wonders! So…with that in mind, I’d like to introduce a new weekly series to Miss Renaissance. Each week I’ll feature a new friend/fellow blogger/random stranger/etc.’s 5 current beauty must-haves. You know, the kind of special products that make us feel that an extra 5 minutes spent using them is actually worthwhile.
This week, I give you my current 5. They’re all unique products that I love for very specific reasons, and they’re all fantastic at doing exactly what they promise to do (Top left to bottom right):
1.Dr. Hauschka Daily Revitalizing Eye Cream – this is the best eye cream I’ve found to date. It’s super hydrating without leaving a greasy residue, and it makes my eyes look rested even when I haven’t gotten a lot of sleep the night before.
2.Josie Maran Argan Oil – I’ve always been skeptical about putting oil on my face. I feared it would cause breakouts or leave me feeling too greasy. Imagine my surprise when I got a free sample of this facial oil a few months ago and decided to give it a try on a particularly dry Winter night. It’s an overnight miracle!! This oil has saved my dry Winter skin. I use it 2-3 nights a week & dry patches are only a distant memory.
3.Benefit “They’re Real” Mascara – too many mascaras claim to make your lashes look so insanely long & voluminous that they’re basically fake & don’t deliver. Well, this stuff comes as close to creating fake lashes as it gets. It’s an eye-opener…pun totally intended.
4.Tom Ford Lipstick in “Flamingo” – this is a perfectly pink-coral shade that feels light & moisturizing at the same time. I’ll wear this shade with everything once warmer weather hits!
5.Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream – I know this sounds like a bunch of complicated & “clinical” promises, but I truly love Juice Beauty’s products. They’re organic, they smell good (in a non-chemical way), and they feel good on the skin – even if you’re sensitive. This “CC” cream is Juice Beauty’s answer to all of the “BB” cream craziness out there. It feels light, gives good coverage, and the added SPF is always a good idea. This one is a new daily must for me.
