Weekly Color Inspiration {Super Blingy}

Astrowifey's super bling manicure

This past weekend I attended a little party at one of my favorite Chicago Boutiques – Space 519….and as luck may have it, my babe Astrowifey was there giving super fun manicures using Jin Soon’s newest colors. I told her to go as creative as she wanted, and she majorly blinged me out with glitter, stripes and rose gold studs. Whatcha think?

The Jin Soon colors are beautiful and sophisticated, if you haven’t yet, you should check them out!

Weekly Color Inspiration {Summer Red & Sky Blue}

Bright Red & Teal by Miss Renaissance

{On all fingers, except index fingers – OPI Monsooner or Later.  On index fingers – OPI I can’t find my Czechbook.}

Somehow this week’s color combo feels both French-inspired & nautical to me. This must mean that I should immediately head to France & get on Sail Boat for vacation, right?!! K, brb.

But seriously, this bright red by OPI is amazing. It’s so fresh & classic – it’s the perfect Summer red! Do you have a favorite classic red for Summer?

Weekly Color Inspiration {Making the Blues Pop}

Purple & Pink Mani

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Essie No More Film.  On index fingers – OPI Koala Bear-Y.}

Shades of blue are always a go-to for me. Essie’s “No more Film” is a beautiful, rich navy with a slight purple glow – it’s the perfect backdrop for a super bright pop of neon pink! Together, these colors are fun for the weekend without being too in-your-face. Just what the doctor ordered.

Weekly Color Inspiration {Shades of Coral}

Ombre Corals Manicure by Miss Renaissance

{Lightest Color – Essie Haute as Hello.  Medium Color – Essie Capri.  Darkest Color – Essie Forever Yummy.}

What’s better than one post in a day??! TWO! Yay!

I thought I’d go with a range of Coral shades this week – it’s such a Spring thing. Essie’s “Haute as Hello” has been one of my favorite shades for a long time now (so versatile), and paired with deeper corals/reds it keeps it playful and light. Happy Spring, everybody!

Color Craving…

Color Crave - Deep Fuchsia

{1. Give your Momma some Love!  2. Charlotte Olympia Heels.  3. Leather tote by Baggu.  4. A playful necklace for Summer.  5. Mirrored Aviators by Ray Ban.}

Welcome to Color Crave, Lovelies! I find myself thinking/daydreaming in certain colors so often…I think it’s about time to start a semi-regular feature on my color obsessions. This week I’ve had nothing but deep, saturated Fuchsia on my brain. I love most shades of pink, but this almost-purple shade has been popping into my view rather regularly lately. I know that Emerald Green is the official color of 2013, but I think this happy shade might be a close second for Spring/Summer!!

Weekly Color Inspiration {a Spring Breeze}

Manicure by Miss Renaissance

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Butter London Jasper. On index fingers – Essie Penny Talk.}

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect shade of yellow for what seems forever! All yellow nail colors I’ve found had either been too saturated, or too neon…until now. I think I’m in love!! This bright yellow by Butter London is perfect! It’s not too orangey, nor does it have a neon tint. It’s the perfect Spring shade, right?! Paired with a little copper metallic, and it’s a sunny party on my hands.

Move over, Tangerine!! Pantone has officially declared Emerald Green as the color of 2013. To me, Emerald is a deep, elegant, and sophisticated hue. It also relates back to nature, which makes it so calming and fresh. Oh, and it happens to be May’s Birthstone – which makes it my Birthstone – yay! In the Middle Ages, Emeralds were believed to hold the power to foretell the future – hmmm. What’s your take on Emerald Green? Love it or hate it?

Have a wonderful weekend, Lovelies!
