What happens around 1am at the Chicago Lyric Opera House?! Well, normally not much….but the other night, a little dark & stormy fantasy played out at one of Chicago’s most beautiful landmarks.

I’ve long been a fan of Marie Antoinette as well as The Phantom of the Opera. I love the fantasy element of both and I adore playing dress-up (who doesn’t, really!?) So when I came across this beautiful Beth Bowley Gown at BHLDN, I knew my fantasy photo shoot finally had to happen! I totally improvised with my hair & makeup here, but I had long wanted to experiment with gold body paint to create an “opera length” illusion glove. What do you think? I kinda wish I could run around with an arm’s length of gold paint on a regular basis.

I hope you enjoyed getting lost in my little fantasy world for a few minutes. It doesn’t hurt to dream every now and then!

P.S.: This gown is now available for purchase (at a sweet discount) on my Vaunte page!

{Making a wish at the end of the night…here’s to another awesome year ahead!!}

Hello, hello Lovelies! I hope you had a wonderful long weekend! I apologize for my absence the last few days. Let’s just blame my Birthday, combined with the long Holiday Weekend, shall we?!

I had a great time the past few days. Spring is in full swing, and fun events are happening all over town. Summer’s really just around the corner now! What are your plans for the next few weeks & months?? I’m looking forward to balmy days spent eating al fresco, relaxing in Chicago’s parks (with a picnic!), outdoor concerts, and a few little trips here and there. Chicago Summers are the BEST, it’s why we suffer through our crazy Winters year after year.

A Stylish Party {For a Cause}

This is for my Chicago People!! I’m super excited to tell you about an amazing event that I’m co-hosting. It’s the Chicago Artists Coalition’s annual fundraiser, Starving Artist. The event will challenge an incredibly talented group of local artists & chefs to collaborate and inspire one another. The outcome is a night of artistic, edible and aesthetic delight! Trust me, this is a Summer Event you won’t want to miss! There will be music, delicious food, cocktails and, of course, amazing art installations. The Chicago Artists Coalition’s space is beautiful & wide open – a perfect backdrop for this kind of Soiree.

Just to give you a little sneak peek, this year features an all star line-up of participants and partners:

Abraham Conlon of Fat Rice // Andrea Morris of Cocomori // Benjamin Newby of Hennessy Black // Bill Kim of BellyQ and Urban Belly // Furniture designers Bladon Conner & Aaron Pahmier // Chrissy Camba of Bar Pastoral // Artist Claire Ashley // Artist Cody Hudson // Erick Williams of MK // Fabio Viviano of Top Chef and Siena Tavern // Jared Wentworth of Longman and Eagle // HATCH artist Jordan Martins // Mamas Nuts // Artist Sabina Ott // BOLT artist Stacia Yeapanis // Taco Battle: Antique Taco vs. Big Star // Artist Theaster Gates // Zoe Schor of Ada Street.

Visit the CAC’s website for more information about the Coalition’s background and programs. To purchase tickets for Starving Artist, email or call 312.491.8888.

If you purchase your tickets before June 15 (and I suggest you do, this event will sell out fast!), you’ll enjoy early bird pricing:

$100 general admission

$150 Secret Society (includes a super awesome gift bag and a year long collectors circle membership, a $150 value)

I hope to see you there!

Miss Renaissance Rose Gold

Greetings from beautiful Jamaica! It’s balmy, sunny, and just plain gorgeous here. I plan to spend the weekend with my feet in the sand, holding a cocktail and reading a juicy book (yes, I’ve finally given in and am now starting to read “Fifty Shades of Grey”…shoot me.)

But all of that is beside the point! What I’ve been wanting to tell you about is Edith Hart’s super fun 1st Birthday Party!! For those of you in Chicago, Edith Hart is probably already on your shopping radar. It’s a beautiful gem of a boutique in the Bucktown neighborhood that stocks hard-to-find Australian labels, such as Sass & Bide (one of my major label obsessions), Bec & Bridge, One Teaspoon, and Blesse’d are the Meek. Edith celebrated it’s 1st Anniversary on Wednesday and lemme tell you – it was a blasty blast! Glossed & Found played fab host for the event and as you can see by the hilarious pictures above, we went a little cray cray. I played model for a bit and dressed up in Edith Hart’s current collection of goodies. How adorable is that pink pom pom sweater by One Teaspoon (that one came home with me), and how INSANE is the oversized metallic sweater by Blesse’d are the Meek (wish list alert!)!!?

So, if you live in Chicago, or if you’re ever in town looking for a fun & unique place to get your shopping fix, stop in at Edith Hart (and say hi to Morgan, the boutique’s owner, she’s one of the sweetest women you’ll ever meet!)

Have a wonderful weekend, Lovelies!

Happy Monday, Lovelies! How are you today?? I’m still in recovery mode from this busy Lollapalooza Weekend. I might have had just a tad too much fun in the sun the last 3 days.

Today’s outfit post dates back a few weekends when the Warby Parker Team came to town and threw an amazing Outdoor Bocce Social. It was a hot Summer day, the chilled drinks were flowing, and we were ready to have some fun & beat the other teams in a friendly game of Bocce. I chose an easy-going 70’s vibe for my outfit. The fringed Cynthia Vincent Shirt is a fun statement on its own, so a favorite pair of Denim Shorts and comfortable Platform Sandals is all I needed to head out the door. Thanks again to Warby Parker for having me and for continually coming up with affordable and on-trend sunnies & spex!

P.S.: If you haven’t entered last week’s Necklace Giveaway – hurry and do so today (until midnight tonight!) The Winner will be announced tomorrow.

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Bobbi Brown Turquoise, On index fingers – Deborah Lippmann Girls just want to have Fun.}

Oh Lollapalooza…I have a Love/Hate relationship with you! There’s all of the amazing Music, but also the crazy crowds. There’s the beautiful Chicago Skyline and outdoor beauty of Grant Park, but also the insane heat and unfortunate thunderstorms (i.e. yesterday’s crazy storm!!) I always look forward to this Summer weekend, but I also know that it will mean NOTHING else will get done – hence my delayed color inspiration post (SO sorry about that!) On Friday, I saw my absolute favorite band – Metric. They are inspiring and absolutely ROCK OUT every time I see them! Today, I’m looking forward to seeing Florence & The Machine and Sigur Ros – also some of my all-time faves.

Lollapalooza’s official colors are Teal & Orange, so I thought it to be more than fitting to coordinate my manicure. I used Bobbi Brown’s limited edition Turquoise polish and Deborah Lippmann’s versatile Coral shade instead of a true Orange. Now my Lolla wristband matches my nails….tah dahh!

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, and I’ll see you back here for more regular programming tomorrow!

Miss Renaissance Alexander Wang

Miss Renaissance West Loop

{Dress – Alexander Wang, Shoes – Givenchy, Bag – Proenza Schouler, Sunglasses – Ray Ban, Bracelets – J.Crew (old), Anthropologie, Cartier.}

While driving through Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood one day, I noticed this interesting design on a building’s wall. I immediately thought it would be a great place for a photoshoot featuring a simple and graphic outfit. So the other week, my friend Alison and I headed over there and had a little fun in the sun snapping pictures.

This Alexander Wang shirtdress is an easy and versatile piece for Summer. It’s breezy and flowy to keep me cool, and it can be easily dressed up and down. I’m even considering wearing it over slim black pants once Fall/Winter comes along. What do you think?
