Weekly Color Inspiration {Masculine Touch}

Masculine Blues Manicure by Miss Renaissance

{On all fingers, except index fingers – OPI I saw…You saw..We saw…Warsaw.  On index fingers – RGB Steel.}

Though I definitely consider myself to be a Girly-Girl, from time to time I feel like injecting a bit of a masculine touch into my style. Case-in-point is this manicure….it’s a bit more toned-down than my usual Spring glitz & glitter.

This OPI color is the absolute perfect tone of navy! It’s deep and saturated, but not too dark where it could be mistaken for black. I’m envisioning a tailored, all-white outfit with this mani…maybe that’s what I’ll throw on over the weekend!?

Weekly Color Inspiration {A Mermaid’s Life}

Mermaid's Dream Manicure

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Kiss.  On index fingers – Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream.}

I LOVE Deborah Lippmann’s new “Mermaids” collection for Spring! These colors combine a beautiful base of pastel colors with a great glitter texture….which is essentially combining 2 steps into 1! Genius! This means, less layers, less drying time, and more instant fun. Count me in!

Weekly Color Inspiration {Tone-in-Tone Copper}

Tone-in-Tone Copper Manicure by Miss Renaissance

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Deborah Lippmann Superstar.  On index fingers – RGB Copper.}

Yep, yep, Copper is still all the rage…well, in my mind at least! It’s the more “understated” of the metallics, which makes it almost a neutral & warm shade that goes well with basically any skin tone. Deborah Lippmann’s “Superstar” is an amazing color – it’s got a dark, almost black undertone with bright copper sparkles mixed in. The coverage is great in just one coat, and it lasts and lasts without chipping (great choice if you’re planning on traveling and won’t be able to get a touch-up)!  Matched with RGB’s “Copper”, one of my all time favorite metallics out there (I own several bottles just as back-ups), it’s a dream combo.

Have an awesome weekend, Lovelies, and Happy Mother’s Day to all of the awesome Mommies out there!

Color Craving…

Color Crave - Deep Fuchsia

{1. Give your Momma some Love!  2. Charlotte Olympia Heels.  3. Leather tote by Baggu.  4. A playful necklace for Summer.  5. Mirrored Aviators by Ray Ban.}

Welcome to Color Crave, Lovelies! I find myself thinking/daydreaming in certain colors so often…I think it’s about time to start a semi-regular feature on my color obsessions. This week I’ve had nothing but deep, saturated Fuchsia on my brain. I love most shades of pink, but this almost-purple shade has been popping into my view rather regularly lately. I know that Emerald Green is the official color of 2013, but I think this happy shade might be a close second for Spring/Summer!!

Weekly Color Inspiration {That Happy Feeling}

Coral & Purple Mani

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Essie Dj Play That Song.  On index fingers – Essie California Coral.}

BOOM – that’s how I felt when I saw this almost-neon purple the other day! It just makes me happy every time I look at it, and paired with an equally happy shade of coral this combo is in-your-face-ready-for-Spring/Summer. Yep! What do you think? Love it? Too much??

Weekly Color Inspiration {As good as Nude}

Manicure by Miss Renaissance

{On all fingers – Essie in Maximilianstrasse Her. Glitter tips on all fingers – Julep in Jane.}

Nude nail colors are super hot for Spring/Summer….and while I like the idea, until I have at least a hint of a tan on my ghostly white skin, I’m sticking with a little color. So, I declare this Slate Blue/Nude Glitter combo my current “Nude.” Cool?!

Have a beautiful weekend, Lovelies!

Weekly Color Inspiration {Moon Scape}

Moon Scape Manicure by Miss Renaissance

{On all fingers, except index fingers – Barielle Night Moves. On index fingers – Barielle Expressive.}

As we all know, my love for metallics is unstoppable….but stepping away from my beloved gold/copper is not something I take lightly. I’ll only go for silver if it’s perfect…and this polish by Barielle comes darn close. The intense silver shade has a finish that’s close to being mirrored, which I love! Paired with a soft & feminine lilac, the look is modern, a little space-age, but also fun.
