Some say that fashion is merely a superficial and frivolous distraction from real life, from things that truly matter. While this is, to some extent, true, I also believe that fashion can be a fantastic way to creatively express your mood or your feelings at any given moment….

This outfit is a perfect example of this type of creative expression….it was the first outfit I wore when I arrived in New York for Fashion Week about 10 days ago. I was insanely excited to embark on this new experience, but I was also feeling a bit introverted and apprehensive about jumping into the madness that is Lincoln Center during Fashion Week. This outfit made me feel covered & comfortable, yet edgy without throwing on crazy colors or revealing too much skin to draw unwanted attention to myself. Let’s just say it was my way of easing into the experience (and a nice way to incorporate these fab Alexander Wang Booties into an outfit!) The steps of Lincoln Center provided the perfect architectural background to this structured “First days of Fall” outfit, dontcha think? Get ready for more of my Fashion Week outfits coming up in the next weeks!

    • Rihanna has the voice of an angel.. and devil too. There is something alunirlg about her. I try to dress like Rihanna whenever I get a chance by copying her style lol. She has a really sane life too unlike some other Hollywood crazies. Some people hate her but I think they are just jealous because she is hot and gifted. I wish Rihanna was my best friend she is such a divine creature to be with Im sure!

  1. you look incredible. The entire look from your hair to your accessories are such a statement. GORGE!
And I totally agree with your first statement. Though fashion is generally considered a superficial part of life, I really do feel that it is artistic and reflective of one’s creativity. It’s not just indulging in material purchases, but making a feel-good statement about yourself. =)

  2. I love the edgy look that your outfit clearly posses and how comfortable you look in the outfit. Fashion week does posses tons people who wear tons of outfits for attention from photographers but your outfit barely shows any skin yet as a street style blogger you would still catch my eye for a photo. Bravo!!!!! Really love this outfit and the booties are amazing!!!!
